BILLINGS - How about some sloth news?
The 15-month-old male two toed sloth that is slowly making his way to ZooMontana is getting closer to having a name.
Over the past several days, people have been suggesting names through social media for the zoo's soon to be resident. Technically, his formal scientific name is “Choloepus Hoffmanni,” but that is a mouthful.
Five more common names have been chosen from the suggestions by Stockman Bank, a sponsor of the new sloth exhibit, and they are:
Winston
Doug
Miles
Stanley
Lenny
You can only vote once and all votes must be in by Sunday, July 19. The winning name will be announced next week.
The soon-to-be named sloth will be hopefully be in his new home, for all to see, later this summer.
