As a non-public facility, TSI is already not open to visitors, so the number of people at TSI on a daily basis is already just staff and volunteers. However, like the rest of the world we are reinforcing our hygiene habits and personal protective equipment (gloves etc). In addition we are encouraging everyone to practice social distancing to reduce the chance of contracting the disease.
At the time of this writing, Costa Rica has 26 confirmed cases of COVID-19 and no deaths. Two-hundred and eighty nine people have tested negative. There are so far no confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Manuel Antonio, where we are located. The government of Costa Rica has ensured free testing and treatment for anyone in Costa Rica that develops the disease and a 24/7 hotline to ask questions if you feel sick. In general, the government of Costa Rica seems to be handling this pandemic well and reassuring visitors and citizens that we will make it through this together.
